Special Education Week in New Jersey

Thanks to all who helped make this year's Special Education Week in New Jersey such a success. Special education services, programs -- and most importantly, special education teachers -- make it possible for children with disabilities to learn effectively and to reach thier full potential in their families and communities.

ASAH and the New Jersey School Boards Association, along wth our corporate sponsors, HRH, and PSE&G, sponsored activities throughout the week, and organized a full day celebration of special education on Special Education Day at the Midland School in North Branch, NJ.

Hundreds of students, teachers, volunteers and community leaders joined us for the festivities. To all who helped, and to our corporate sponsors, thank you.

Student Art Contest

Each year, students at ASAH member schools submit artwork that captures the spirit of special education as they experience it. This year's theme, "Building the Future, One Student at a Time," yielded some truly remarkable work! ASAH is pleased to present the students' 2008 submissions on our website.
