Mission Statement:The School Philosophy is based on the belief that students with special learning needs are entitled to the opportunity to have an educational program which will consider their presenting academic, emotional, social and psychological strengths and weaknesses. Students are encouraged to develop their academic skills at a prescribed level of competency without having to compete with other students or unrealistic standards which may have been internalized because of previous experiences. This is accomplished through individualized programs which encourage each student to learn the necessary skills in an environment which is not only supportive, but which is highly structured and consistent in its appproach to learning.
